I found this confusing as the router db for the linksys wrt54g ver 5, 6 has a different bin file listed than the one explicitly used in the step by step instructions for the same. The biggest thing I appricated back in the day about Tomato firmware was its ability to only restart a service, while DD-WRT required a reboot of the router, it was pretty sweet to update my firewall on the fly and not interupt my netz. I can get the router to associate with the wifi network i want to repeat and i can get the. I was introduced to Tomato last year, I think, and I have really, really liked the Tomato firmware over DD-WRT, even after watching DD-WRT grow and add new stuff over the year. I have been trying to do the above over the past couple of days. Tomato is really nice, DD-WRT has gotten really bloated over time, I used to use it back in the day when playing around with firmwares.
